And, by the way? They're pretty reliable, too.
So says Consumer Reports, the impartial outlet known for its automotive testing among so many other things.
"There's no rocket science to electric cars," Jake Fisher, director of automotive testing for Consumer Reports, said in a blog entry posted by the New York Times. "There were electric cars before there were gas-powered cars; it seems to be a reliable technology."
Consumer Reports subscribers can view the survey results at the magazine's web site. Nonsubscribers will be able to get access to a preview of the survey there. The complete survey will appear in the December issue of the magazine, which went on sale Nov. 6.
